In 1987, a group of Dominican specialists decided to open the first clinic specialized in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery in the Dominican Republic.
In February 1988, the Plastic Surgery Center of Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic (CECIP) was inaugurated in the city of Santo Domingo. This clinic, immediately received a great welcome from the population, and other plastic surgeons began to join, even though they did not have their office there, they brought their patients to be operated on. After a short time it became evident that the place was too small and the beds were not enough to receive the many patients who required plastic surgery, so the expansion of the clinic was considered, and fortunately, it was possible to acquire the perfect lot that adjoined just with the initial clinic.
